In 2019, I planned a large-scale community event that commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 launch. This hands-on event involved building and launching model rockets, hands-on science activities, and various collaborations from Penn State and local community groups.

In 2019, I held a documentary screening of the Apollo 11 movie in honor of the 50th anniversary. This included a robotics competition and a talk from former astronaut James Pawelczyk

Since 2018, I have directed and designed the curriculum for an experiential environmental summer camp for 2nd through 4th graders

Each year, our office holds an event designed to empower young women to pursue a career in science. This is done through hands-on workshops led by STEM experts from a wide variety of disciplines. Participants leave knowing there are many different types of science careers!

Since 2019, I have mentored NASA graduate fellows in their outreach endeavors to a variety of audiences, especially underrepresented groups

From 2016-2019, I served as a counselor, learning group leader, program assistant, and director on duty for Penn State's "Outdoor School", a residential environmental education program for 5th graders

As a result of the pandemic, I created a website that could host the great virtual asynchronous outreach projects that were being developed across Penn State and several local organizations. The site continues to grow and has had over 10,000 unique visitors.
